Return to the Mystic 1:  Return to the Mystic I is part one of a three part series.  It is                                                                     designed to introduce the student to the mystical streams that run through four of the world's major religious traditions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Sufism.  The student is introduced to the psychological dynamics of mystical experience generally speaking, then discovers how those dynamics play an integral role in each of these four traditions.  We will turn to four spiritual texts in this effort: Hinduism's Upanishads, Buddhism's Dhammapada, Christianity's The Cloud of Unknowing, and the teachings of various Sufi figures, both historic and modern.  (Class is four hours in length.)

Return to the Mystic 2:  Return to the Mystic II is part two of a three part series.  It is                                                                     designed to deepen the student's understanding of the mystical streams that run through four of the world's major religious traditions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Sufism.  We delve deeper into the spiritual texts touched upon in Return to the Mystic 1 and seek to understand the possible meaning this spiritual wisdom may hold for the student's personal life.  (Class (1 1/2 hours) meets weekly for four weeks.  Return to the Mystic I is prerequisite.  Attendance at at least six sessions is prerequisite for Return to the Mystic III.)

Return to the Mystic 3:  Return to the Mystic III is part three of a three part series.  It is                                                             designed to introduce the student to the mystical streams that run through four of the world's major religious traditions (Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Sufism) by means of engaging in the spiritual practices each of these different traditions has developed.  (Attendance at six or more sessions of Return to the Mystic II is prerequisite.)  For information regarding this ongoing course, please see the Spiritual Practice page.
